In-House Legal Counsel
We are seeking a Legal Counsel for a prominent, FTSE 250 company. This in-house role is pivotal in supporting the GCand other team members, and an exceptional opportunity for a driven legal professional to join an expanding team.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will collaborate across departments to provide essential legal guidance, including:
Commercial Contracts: Reviewing, advising on, and negotiating various commercial and third-party supplier agreements.
Terms & Conditions: Updating customer terms and conditions..
Legal Advisory: Providing research and responses to diverse legal and technical inquiries.
Regulatory Compliance: Assisting the business in meeting its regulatory obligations.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Working closely with key stakeholders, notably within Techand Product teams, and facilitating internal approvals.
Candidate Profile
Applicants must be a qualified solicitor in England and Wales, ideally with 2-5years' PQE. Strong commercial contract experience is essential, gained either at a reputable national law firm or in-house. Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas is required:
General commercial contracts (e.g., service, consultancy agreements).
Technology contracts (e.g., software licences, SaaS, agile development).
Consumer terms & conditions, marketing, or financial promotions.
