We’re looking for a Legal Counsel to join our Legal & Compliance team at Numan on a 12-month, fixed-term contract.

This is a varied and collaborative role offering exposure to a broad range of legal areas, including commercial contracts, regulatory matters, and governance. You’ll work closely with teams across the business - including Commercial, Product, Tech, Clinical and Compliance, helping to drive growth while managing legal and regulatory risk. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their in-house legal career in a fast-paced, mission-led business.

You’ll be:

Partnering with our commercial, product and compliance teams, acting as a proactive legal advisor to help find practical, business-friendly solutions.
Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide variety of commercial contracts, including MSAs, consultancy agreements, NDAs, RFPs/RFQs, and more.
Providing day-to-day support on healthcare, consumer, and digital health regulatory matters.
Reviewing website content and marketing copy to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
Advising on corporate governance, including supporting board-level reporting and risk assurance frameworks
Helping manage regulatory relationships and supporting regulatory change initiatives.
Contributing to legal templates, playbooks, and internal training on legal and compliance topics.
Supporting insurance, claims, and general risk management as needed.

We’re looking for someone who:

Is a qualified solicitor or lawyer with around 4+ years post-qualification experience (ideally a mix of private practice and in-house).
Has strong experience advising on commercial contracts and managing contract negotiations independently.
Brings a solutions-oriented mindset and can communicate legal advice clearly to non-legally minded colleagues, comfortable working across a range of legal areas, balancing competing demands in a fast-moving business.
Has an interest in digital health or regulated sectors and a willingness to build regulatory expertise.
Enjoys collaborating across teams and building trusted relationships with stakeholders.
Has experience of / or interest in legal operations.

It’s a bonus if you have:

Experience advising in a healthcare, life sciences, or tech-driven business
Familiarity with UK and EU healthcare or digital health regulations
Worked on international contracts or regulatory matters across the EMEA region
