Role overview:

As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:

• Providing advice on legal matters for the UK and Ireland business, offering a commercial, efficient, effective, and professional service including areas such as contracts, projects, competition, IP, data protection, and regulatory issues.
• Leading day-to-day review, drafting, and negotiation of less complex contracts and projects, playing a proactive role within the Currys negotiating team, taking ownership of projects, advising on strategic and structural issues, managing legal risks, and supporting senior lawyers on complex matters.
• Working independently on various contracts and projects, supporting process improvements, and engaging with cross-functional teams.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders across the company, including commercial functions, procurement, and finance.
• Supporting the setup of suppliers and the settlement of invoices.

You will need:

• Excellent commercial and/or corporate legal experience.
• The ability to support multiple projects and transactions.
• A good understanding of the retail and consumer electronics industries (desirable).
• Experience working in-house and/or at a major law firm (desirable).
• Qualified Solicitor or Barrister (desirable).
