Sounds great, what will I be doing?

As our Legal Counsel you’ll you’ll be the main point of the contact for commercial contracts here at GWI. You will drive proactive management and execution of contracts. This will include client contracts, NDAs, and vendor agreements. This role will get the chance to drive the contracts management process, working closely with legal operations colleagues within the Legal team and stakeholders within our Revenue teams.

GWI is a consumer research company that sells a range of technology products and services to some of the biggest client names including: Google, Meta, Apple, TikTok, Snap, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Microsoft, and Publicis. Whether it’s delivering instant insights via our SaaS platform or API, or partnering with our clients and third parties to integrate our data into their platforms and workflows, we give people certainty in the moment they need it. If you want the opportunity to lead on contract management with big client names and be involved in innovative product sales, this is the role for you.

It’s also fun; shaking things up is what working for a growing company is all about. So you’ll need to be flexible, comfortable with continuous change, and working in a high-tempo environment as we grow.

What do I need to bring with me?

You’ll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires. You don't have to tick all the boxes right away; the important thing is that you’re willing to learn. Here’s what the team will be looking for:

Qualification to practice law in the UK with at least 3 years PQE as a commercial/technology lawyer.

Have experience in house (ideally in a high growth scale up technology company) or in a commercial legal department of a leading law firm.

Business first legal mindset - we are looking for someone who can balance GWI risk management with commercial agility by enabling pragmatic, solutions-focused contracting that supports revenue goals and fosters strong client relationships.

Bias for action mindset - a proactive doer who drives details forward while taking initiative to improve legal processes, play books and templates to support scalable growth to support GWI's ambitious growth plans.

Communication skills - you'll need the ability to negotiate and communicate with various stakeholders within and outside the business.

Equally important is attitude. We want people who think big (to make an impact), ask why (to find a better way), and show respect (to everyone, at every level, all the time). Those are our values, exemplified by our leadership team, and they’re a big part of what we’re looking for in you.

Interview steps

Preliminary phone call with the Talent Team (no video required)

First video interview with the hiring managers

Second (and final*) video interviewwith the hiring panel, often including a presentation, followed by a values conversation with members of the wider GWI community.

Don’t be alarmed if there are other stages in the process, it’s all part of the plan for some of our roles.
