Job summary

Fasanara Capital in London seeks a mid-level lawyer to provide expert legal support in structured finance transactions, including securitisation, asset-backed lending, trade finance, fintech lending, and crypto investments. You will lead transactional execution, coordinating with business teams and external advisors, and help manage the lifecycle of deals across jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• 4 years of post-qualified experience in finance-related law (structured finance, banking, capital markets, fund structuring or similar) at a reputable law firm, investment bank or asset manager.
• Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy while reporting to senior members of the legal team and collaborating with business teams.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and document-management skills for complex transactions.

Responsibilities

• Structuring, drafting and execution of structured finance deals (securitisation, asset-backed lending, trade finance, fintech lending) and related investments.
• Serving as the main legal contact during execution, coordinating with business teams and external advisors.
• Overseeing each transaction from start to finish and monitoring progress to keep deals on track.
• Providing day-to-day legal support across teams and clarifying legal aspects to support broader goals.
• Corporate support in structuring and maintaining investment vehicles across jurisdictions.

Position Overview

This position is ideal for a mid-level candidate with experience in a reputable law firm, investment bank or asset manager.

This is a fast-paced and high-responsibility role focused on providing expert legal support in structured finance transactions, including securitisation, asset-backed lending, trade finance and fintech lending, as well as crypto and venture capital investments, and in the structuring, management and maintenance of the firm's investment vehicles in various jurisdictions.

The candidate will be leading transactional execution, supporting the life cycle of each transaction and providing an active contribution to the advancement of the firm's business objectives in close cooperation with the business teams and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Structuring, drafting and execution of structured finance deals, including securitisation, asset-backed lending, trade finance and fintech lending, as well as crypto and venture capital investments
• Serving as the main legal point of contact during execution, liaising with business teams and external advisors, and oversee legal aspects of each transaction's lifecycle
• Overseeing each transaction from start to finish, ensuring the transaction stays on track and checking in regularly on progress
• Providing day-to-day legal support across different teams, helping them understand the legal angles and supporting their broader goals
• Providing corporate assistance in the structuring, management and maintenance of investment vehicles in various jurisdictions

Requirements

• 4 years of post-qualified experience working as a lawyer in a finance-related field (e.g. structured finance, banking, capital markets, fund structuring or similar) at a reputable law firm, investment bank or asset manager
• Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and take ownership of matters, while working under the supervision of the most senior members of the legal team and in close collaboration with the business teams
