RSK Group is expanding its inhouse legal team and seeks a Legal Counsel with 4-5 years PQE to support commercial matters across the business from our Helsby, Cheshire base.

You will report to the Head of Commercial Legal Services and negotiate contracts, advise on disputes, and help develop standard forms and training, with a collaborative approach and flexibility.

This full-time role offers 40 hours per week with flexible working arrangements.

Qualifikationen

• Qualified Solicitor with 4-5 years PQE.
• Law Degree/GDL/MA Law.
• Legal Practice Course, with optional modules being commercial/construction focused.
• Admitted to Solicitors Roll.

Aufgaben

• Provide legal advice and support to the Group’s central support functions, Divisional Commercial Directors and businesses on general commercial contracts, including drafting and negotiation of construction, engineering and other contracts, consultant appointments and other ancillary documentation, procurement contract, and new project pursuits, including joint venture and collaboration arrangements.
• Support to the Group’s businesses in respect of disputes.
• Assistance on Group-wide initiatives for developing and maintaining standard contract forms and guidance, compliance, new business processes and training.
• Any other legal advice required by the Group businesses and ad-hoc duties.
• To support a collaborative and proactive relationship with the Group’s businesses.
• To support the onboarding of new businesses into the Group.
• To report regularly to the Head of Commercial Legal Services on matter status and participate in team meetings and cross-Group forums as required.
• In addition to your normal duties, you may occasionally be required to undertake additional work necessary to meet the needs of the business, without additional remuneration

The Vacancy

As part of the ongoing expansion of the RSK Group, we are looking for a Legal Counsel with at least 4-5 years PQE to join our extremely busy inhouse legal team, which is primarily based in Helsby, Cheshire.

This is a full-time, role (40 hours per week), with flexible working arrangements available.

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Legal Counsel to join our Group Commercial Legal Services team. Reporting directly to the Head of Commercial Legal Services, you will play a key role in providing high-quality legal support across the business, advising on a broad range of commercial matters and helping to manage legal risk.

Key Responsibilities:

• To provide:

Person Specification:

• Qualified Solicitor with 4-5 years PQE


• Law Degree/GDL/MA Law


• Legal Practice Course, with optional modules being commercial/construction focused

• Ability to analyse, interpret and work to a high level of accuracy with a keen eye for detail
