Job Description

Sacco Mann is working alongside a well-regarded and ambitious Data Consultancy which has offices in Sheffield and York. There now exists a vacancy for a pivotal legal counsel or commercial contracts manager who can act as the conduit between the sales team and support function to manage, improve and streamline the licensing contract life-cycle.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of working in a commercial contracts environment with a good all-round understanding of financial, commercial, and business principles and risk mitigation practices. You'll have experience of reviewing and negotiating terms and conditions, and be familiar with contractual and change management of live contracts.

This is a fluid role within a flexible and agile organisation and may equally suit a commercial generalist looking to make a first move in-house as it would someone looking for a new position where they can influence the legal offering. Alternatively, there is capacity for this to be a pure contracts management position, not necessarily requiring a qualified solicitor.

The company offers this role on a flexible remote basis, providing the successful candidate can spend a day in York per quarter. It could also be suitable for someone looking to work reduced hours/part-time. Most important is the "fit" and common-sense practical approach to legal services. Whether that's specifically in relation to contract negotiation or management; or interfacing with the business more generally - they're looking for someone who'll keep the cogs turning, not throw obstacles or hurdles in the way!
