Job opportunity - Vertiv is looking for a new Legal Counsel to join our dynamic team in Dublin, Ireland!

The Legal Counsel works as part of the Law Department to protect Vertiv business units, with particular focus on IP/Trademarks related matters by ensuring that terms and conditions used in transactions are acceptable to the business. Drafts and negotiates agreements (often directly with customers) relating to the sale of products, professional services, and software licensing to ensure agreements are clearly defined, documented, and in agreement with Vertiv’s guidelines. Assists and supports the EMEA Law Department in a wide range of legal issues, particularly related to IP/Trademarks matters and E&I business. Further, the Legal Counsel will work with members of other corporate departments, business units, and outside counsel.

What kind of work will you be doing?

1. Work under the supervision of a Senior member of the Law Dept to provide timely review, analysis, drafting, interpretation and negotiation of contracts and other documents with external parties in line with company policies and objectives.
2. Assist Vertiv in respect of support for any Intellectual Property / Trademark matters that may arise.
3. Provide counsel and advise Company management on legal issues, compliance and risk management (contracts, claims, litigation, legal changes, legal compliance and others), and the possible impact on the Company.
4. Anticipate and mitigate potential legal problems within the organization to avoid claims and litigation.
5. Conduct legal analysis, research and reviews on a variety of legal issues, national and international laws, and risk evaluation.
6. Provide support for other governance and compliance activities as assigned.

What Would Be the Perfect Qualifications?

1. Qualification / Degree in Law.
2. Minimum 2-3 years of experience.
3. Willingness to travel within the EMEA Region to meet other internal customers or to negotiate contracts with customers.
4. Resource to be located in Northern Ireland.
