PropRec Search is recruiting a UK-qualified Legal Counsel in Birmingham on a rolling basis for an international business, offering hybrid working. Base salary ranges from £60,000 to £65,000 per year, plus a monthly car allowance and a benefits scheme.

The role focuses on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial and technology contracts, with opportunities to develop templates and support cross-functional deals. BPSS/SC clearance eligibility is desirable.

Qualifications

• 2+ years Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) as a UK-qualified lawyer.
• Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.
• In-house legal exposure and familiarity with technology sector advantageous.
• Eligible to obtain BPSS and SC security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts.
• Develop template contracts to improve business efficiency.
• Participate in customer calls to discuss legal and commercial risk, products/services, and policies.
• Collaborate with commercial and compliance teams during high-pressure deal periods.
• Assist with various legal projects across the organisation with increasing autonomy.

Contextual Overview

PropRec Search is recruiting a UK-qualified Legal Counsel on behalf of a growing international business based in Birmingham, England, United Kingdom. This role offers an in-house career opportunity supporting the Head of Legal with a strong focus on commercial and technology contracts.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Must be a UK-qualified lawyer with 2+ years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).


• Demonstrated experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.


• Previous in-house legal exposure and familiarity with the technology sector are highly advantageous.


• Must be eligible to obtain BPSS and SC security clearance.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts for commercial-based transactions.


• Develop template contracts to improve overall business efficiency.


• Participate in customer calls to address legal and commercial risk profiles, product/service offerings, and operational policies.


• Collaborate closely with commercial and compliance teams during high-pressure deal periods (month, quarter, and year-end).


• Assist with various legal projects across the organization with increasing autonomy.

Stipend, Compensation & Mode

Base Pay Range: £60,000.00 to £65,000.00 per annum (depending on experience), plus a monthly car allowance, comprehensive benefits scheme, and hybrid working arrangements.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
