Responsibilities

1. Provide legal and contractual support to the Tendering activities of the Company including:

• Review, qualification and negotiation of Terms and Conditions of Contract.
• Liaison with Company’s Insurers to ensure alignment between Contract provisions and existing global policies.
• Liaison with Finance and Legal departments regarding security bonds and guarantees.

• Provide guidance and support into the resolution of contractual and commercial disputes with Clients.
• Ensure that contractual and legal documents are prepared in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Legal Management of Variation Orders.

• Assessing the validity of Subcontractor VOR claims.
• Provide advice and support in relation to the establishment of supplier agreements and placement of PO's.

• Corporate, insurance, contract, dispute resolution, employment, migration and injury management (as and if required).

Requirements

Education: Relevant law degree

Experience / Knowledge:

• Significant relevant experience in a senior legal role, preferably within the international energy industry and/or from recognized law firms.
• Strong legal knowledge and understanding of contract law.
• Strong negotiation skills combined with commercial understanding.
• Analytical and structured, with the ability to work independently and within short deadlines.
• Comfortable working within an international team of professionals.

• Global Legal, Tax and Insurance Function (Legal department DOF Group)
• Multiple Departmental Heads, specifically Commercial, Projects and Procurement.

• Client
