Job description

Our client, a global organisation, urgently require an experienced Legal & Contracts Officer to join their team on a permanent basis.

In order to be successful, you will have the following experience:

  • Extensive background within commercial legal and contracts departments
  • Legal degree or equivalent experience
  • Excellent stakeholder management experience
  • Experience gained within Defence or Government sector
  • Able to obtain SC Clearance (candidates with active SC will be prioritised)

Within this role, you will be responsible for:

  • As the Legal & Contracts (L&C) Officer, you will help the company navigate and manage commercial risks through our contracts
  • Provide clear and timely legal guidance and advice to our sales, projects, and functional managers, and handle agreements with service suppliers
  • Ensure the company is compliant with national laws and Leonardo directives, keeping an eye out for any changes so we can update our policies and procedures as needed
  • Provide legal advice and manage contracts
  • Identify and mitigate contractual risks
  • Ensure adherence to legal requirements and directives
  • Negotiate contracts and resolve disputes
  • Manage terms for new business proposals
  • Maintain contract records
  • Maintain client and supplier relationships
