Location: London-based (Hybrid – minimal office attendance)

Contract: Part-time, 10–20 hours per week

Rate: £120–£180 per hour (dependent on experience)

Overview:

An innovative, US-headquartered nuclear energy company is expanding its presence in the UK and Europe. With early-stage commercial operations already underway, they are now seeking an experienced UK-qualified legal professional to provide consultancy support on a range of regulatory, contractual, and compliance matters. Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise on legal and regulatory matters related to nuclear and energy projects across the UK and Europe
  • Support discussions with government departments and environmental authorities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts
  • Ensure compliance with UK and EU legislation, particularly around nuclear, energy, infrastructure, and environmental law
  • Provide ongoing legal support to a small UK-based commercial team
  • Collaborate with international legal stakeholders where required

Requirements:

  • UK-qualified with 8+ years PQE (preferred)
  • Strong background in the energy, infrastructure, or nuclear sectors
  • Deep understanding of government relations and regulatory frameworks
  • Commercially minded and confident advising in a fast-paced, developing environment
  • Able to work independently with flexibility on hours
