Compliance Manager

Location: Bournemouth - 1 day a week

Salary: Up to £70k

We're currently working with a leading UK Law firm, with a strong presence across the South West and London. They are looking for a proactive and experienced Compliance Manager to join their well-established function. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, shaping policies and procedures, and driving best practices across the firm.

The Role:

• Lead, coach, and mentor the Compliance Team to ensure exceptional standards of regulatory compliance.
• Provide expert guidance on complex compliance matters, helping the business confidently navigate legal requirements.
• Keep policies, key documents, and risk registers up to date in line with the latest regulations.
• Take ownership of Lexcel and CQS accreditations, ensuring smooth applications and renewals.
• Collaborate with the Head of Risk & Operations to drive compliance-led improvements across the business.
• Monitor and identify regulatory changes, implementing necessary updates and training teams accordingly.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, driving initiatives to enhance processes and compliance frameworks.
• Deliver effective compliance training, ensuring employees remain informed and confident in their roles.

About you?

• Proven experience in compliance management within a legal environment (also open to qualified solicitors).
• Strong leadership skills, with experience mentoring and developing a team.
• Up-to-date knowledge of regulatory frameworks, particularly in legal compliance, AML, GDPR, and risk management.
• Experience with Lexcel and CQS accreditations (highly desirable).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• A detail-oriented and analytical approach to problem-solving.
