The Role

  • As the Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for mitigating risks through the design, implementation and enforcement of firm policies, procedures and other preventative measures
  • Ensure that all firm activities are undertaken within the boundaries of the law and compliant with the rules and restrictions set out by regulatory bodies including the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA.)
  • You will keep up to date with, SRA and general regulatory requirements that apply to law firms including anti-bribery and corruption, data protection, anti-money laundering, Code of Conduct, principles and guidance.

Requirements

  • You must have a sound knowledge of law and terminology and good drafting skills.
  • Possess a good working knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts rules (SAR) in liaison with the COFA/ Head of Accounts.
  • Demonstrate passion for the area and evident interest to stay up to date with latest developments and impart these to others.
