Job summary

3 Point Recruitment seeks an experienced Legal Cashier to join a busy finance team at our Walsall head office. This full-time, office-based role is within a small, supportive team focused on accuracy and compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years’ law-firm experience, with strong receipts, banking, and ledger skills. The role covers payments, reporting, and daily finance administration in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years' experience in a law firm is preferred.
• Confident with Solicitors Accounts Rules and financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Handle client payments and ensure accurate receipting.
• Monitor incoming funds and allocate to client accounts.
• Manage daily banking tasks and maintain ledgers.
• Post financial transactions across ledgers and produce routine reports.
• Process electronic payments and cheque requests.
• Support wider finance administration and provide cover as needed.

We're looking for an experienced Legal Cashier to join a busy, close-knit Finance Team at our Walsall Head Office. This is a full-time, office based role & you will be working within a small but very supportive & social finance team.

To be a good fit, you will have 2-3 years' experience in a law-firm and be confident working within the Solicitors Accounts Rules.

Duties Will Include

• Handling client payments and ensuring accurate receipting
• Monitoring incoming funds and allocating them correctly to client accounts
• Managing daily banking tasks and maintaining accurate financial records
• Posting financial transactions across ledgers
• Producing routine finance reports for internal teams
• Preparing and processing electronic payments
• Managing cheque requests and supporting wider finance administration
• Creating clear breakdowns of time, costs and ledger information for client use
• Checking financial documentation, processing invoices and supporting payment runs
• Providing cover for colleagues during absence to maintain smooth workflow
