Job Details

Client Location: Salisbury, Wiltshire

Contract: Fixed-term, 12 months

Experience: Previous Legal Cashier experience required

The Role

You will work with an experienced and supportive team. Your responsibilities include checking client account bank statements for new funds, alerting relevant fee earners/teams about reconciliation issues, assisting with daily fund processing, generating cheques, and processing CHAPS, BACS, & faster payments, including card receipts. Additional duties involve managing petty cash, reconciling accounts, processing invoices, administering client interest, and handling WIP and Disbursement write-offs.

Responsibilities
  1. Supervising the Purchase Ledger System
  2. Submitting VAT returns
  3. Paying Tax to HMRC on behalf of Partners
  4. Supervision and training of junior staff
  5. Reconciling Office & Client Bank Accounts daily
  6. Managing Client Interest
  7. Handling Partners, Consultants & Lawyers expenses
  8. Reconciling all firm credit cards
  9. Maintaining PKC, KPI & Rekoop
  10. Running weekly Time Reports & chasing Fee Earners for missing time
  11. Processing payments through Bacs System
  12. Managing Direct Debits
  13. Writing off Bills & Disbursements
