Job description

We are working alongside a Brighton based law firm and they are seeking a legal cashier on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client accounts and ensuring compliance with SRA rules. This is a fill time, office-based role with the potential for hybrid working after successful completion of probation.

Daily duties will include monitoring daily client funds from the banking system for all electronic payments (CHAPS, BACs and FPS) and processing payments, receipts and transfers, manual cheques and/or cash banking. Further duties include positing expenses such as fees and travel as well as various administrative tasks.

Applicants will have gained previous accounts/cashiering experience, preferably within a law firm. Current knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules is essential. A professional and confident approach to work is paramount coupled with strong attention to detail.
