  • Liaising with the firm's accountant to assist in their preparation of statutory returns.

Job description

Brook Street Recruitment is working on behalf of our Belfast client who are currently recruiting for a full time and permanent Legal Bookkeeper.

Working closely with the Partners of the firm, you will be responsible for assisting with the smooth day-to-day running of a busy solicitor's firm's finance department.

Applicants are preferred to have worked in a legal setting but not essential as other bookkeepers will be considered - the ideal candidate will have a good understanding of invoicing, finance, book-keeping.

Duties

  • Ensuring all finance records are up to date & accurate on the firm's finance system.
  • Accurate and timely processing and recording of incoming and outgoing payments
  • Receiving customer payments in person and over the telephone
  • Liaising with suppliers and payment of supplier invoices
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns via legal accounts software
