Job description

FPSG is seeking legal billing specialists for a fantastic career opportunity within an international organisation that has chosen Glasgow as the site for its new Global Business Centre. This centre will form the core of their back-office functions worldwide, offering excellent professional progression prospects.

Role Overview

The Billing position is within the Working Capital Team in the broader Finance Department. The role involves the accurate and timely generation and dispatch of client invoices, focusing on raising, finalising, approving, and dispatching bills. You will take ownership of relevant data, coordinate with colleagues, resolve queries, contribute to compliance, and own service level agreements.

Responsibilities
  1. Taking ownership for billing guides, draft bills, proformas, and finalised bills according to client-specific requirements.
  2. Ensuring the timely and accurate dispatch of bills.
  3. Recording and tracking via eBilling and billing platforms.
  4. Data management and verification.
  5. Supporting colleagues with billing queries.
  6. Coordinating with colleagues on compliance and key matters such as tax assessment and regional offices for multi-jurisdictional billing.
  7. Supporting customers and internal parties on billing-related queries, such as Credit Control.
  8. Preparing and delivering reports.
Candidate Profile

To succeed as a Billing Analyst, you should have:

  1. Experience as a Billing Analyst within professional services firms, shared service centres, or BPO environments.
  2. Experience handling high-volume, complex finance matters using appropriate finance management software.
  3. Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy.
  4. Strong MS Office skills, ideally advanced Excel and Word.
  5. Excellent time management, organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  6. Desirable: Finance & Accounting qualifications or progress towards them.
  7. Highly desirable: exposure to the legal sector.
  8. Candidates with finance roles focusing heavily on billing, even if not the core of their role, will be considered if they can demonstrate relevant experience.
