Job description

Totum Partners are working with a leading law firm to recruit a Legal Biller. This is a great opportunity to work in a collegiate billing team, playing a key role in ensuring the efficiency of the billing process.

The ideal Legal Biller will be responsible for:

  • Manage billing processes, ensuring compliance with firm policies and HMRC/SRA rules.
  • Produce billing guides, narratives, WIP reports, write-offs, transfers, and credit notes.
  • Handle internal billing queries professionally.
  • Oversee e-billing for relevant clients.
  • Assist with billing schedules for select clients.
  • Improve billing processes with Finance and aligned teams.
  • Coordinate with EAson billing instructions.
  • Lead transition of billing duties to the Client Administration team.
  • Ensure deadlines are met and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Identify and implement process improvements.
  • Collaborate with Compliance, Finance, and fee earners on billing tasks.

The Ideal Legal Biller will have:

  • Relevant experience in law or professional services.
  • Elite 3E experience is desirable.
  • Strong billing and financial management knowledge.
  • Understanding of HMRC and SRA rules.
  • Excellent client service skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organised and able to multitask.
  • Flexible, team-oriented, and responsive.
  • Methodical and punctual approach.
