The team
The Legal & Governance Team are one of the ‘Centres of Expertise’ within Octopus and form part of a much larger Risk & Compliance function. The team provide corporate compliance and governance services to Octopus group companies and Octopus managed funds. There are 12 people in the team, looking after a variety of companies ranging from listed VCTs, FCA regulated entities, institutional funds and LLPs that invest in renewable energy, healthcare, property, fibre networks and much more.
A very small part of the team are also responsible for ad hoc legal advice across the Group, the management of third party solicitors and external spend.

The purpose of this section is to bring to life everything the role will encompass. This section should list out all elements of the role that will be carried out, whether this is a daily task or more sporadic. Examples might include managing a busy inbox daily, alongside updating an excel spreadsheet and reporting on data.
