Legal Assistant – Residential Conveyancing

Residential Conveyancing Legal Assistant – Leading South West Law Firm

TSR Legal are proud to be partnering with a highly regarded and award-winning law firm in the South West who are looking to appoint a Legal Assistant to join their busy Residential Conveyancing team at their Gillingham office in North Dorset.

The Role:

You will play a key role in supporting residential property transactions including sales and purchases. This is a fast-paced environment, so the ideal candidate will be confident handling multiple priorities, have excellent administrative skills, and enjoy working within a collaborative team. The position involves regular communication with clients, estate agents, and solicitors, so strong interpersonal and organisational skills are essential.

Full training will be provided and there is genuine scope to progress your role within the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with a variety of residential conveyancing matters including sales and purchases
  • Liaise with clients and third parties including estate agents and other solicitors
  • Draft and prepare legal documentation and correspondence
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files
  • Provide exceptional client care and ensure deadlines are met

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Prior experience in a legal support role, ideally within residential conveyancing, is preferred
  • Alternatively, candidates with a strong academic background and a keen interest in law will also be considered for an entry-level Legal Administrative Assistant position
  • Highly organised, with excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Confident, professional, and client-focused
  • Eager to learn, with a proactive and adaptable approach
