Do you love working as an assistant to a Family Law Fee Earner?

Are you looking for an opportunity to work with a progressive Legal Firm?

What will you be required to assist with in this busy Family law team:-

Legal Document Preparation:

  • Draft and format legal documents such as divorce petitions, Child Arrangement orders, financial Consent Orders, Co-Habitation Agreements and Non-Molestation Orders.
  • Prepare bundles for Court hearings and ensure compliance with Court deadlines.

Client Communication & Support:

  • To act as the first point of contact for clients via phone, email, or in person.
  • Liaise with Court staff
  • Handle sensitive and emotional client matters with empathy, professionalism and discretion.
  • Schedule appointments and manage client correspondence.

Case Management:

  • To maintain and organise client files (both electronic and paper based).
  • Assist with file opening, compliance checks, and case closures in accordance with regulatory standards (e.g. SRA requirements in the UK).
  • Track important dates and deadlines for Court appearances, filings and hearings.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Manage Solicitor diaries and arrange meetings, conferences and Court hearings.
  • Handle billing processes, and invoice generation.
  • Liaise with external agencies such as Courts, Barristers, expert witnesses, and opposing Counsel.
