Job Description

We are currently looking for enthusiastic and engaged Legal Assistants to join our fast-paced Commercial Property team based in our Cardiff city centre office on a full time, permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for those looking to kick start their legal career with Howells and enhance their experience in the legal sector.

This role will provide direct administration support to the fee earners in the Commercial Property team to provide an exceptional client service at all times.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Providing full support to the commercial property fee earners and undertaking administrative tasks relating to commercial property sales and purchases, under supervision.
  • Onboarding clients, opening files and closing files where necessary.
  • Liaising with existing and prospective clients, answering, and resolving their queries where relevant.
  • Providing an excellent level of service to our clients.
  • Interacting with solicitors within the firm from time to time, providing clarification on any queries or issues.
  • Any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as directed by your line manager or Director.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience working in the legal sector, or a similar role is desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Team oriented.
  • Able to work to deadlines, prioritise own workload effectively under pressure and manage conflicting priorities.
  • Proactive and determined.
  • Able to progress tasks using own initiative, seeking guidance and input from others where appropriate.
