Job description

We are seeking a proactive and organised Legal Assistant to provide essential support across multiple departments, including Residential Property, Commercial Property, Family and Private Client.

Position: Full-time. Based in our Horsham Office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with initial client enquiries across various departments.
  • Liaise with teams to manage and resolve client queries.
  • Take detailed client instructions and pass them to the relevant lawyer.
  • Provide information about our products and services.
  • Open new matters on our case management system.
  • Manage initial client compliance procedures, including drafting Client Care Letters and sending payment and ID links.
  • Follow up with clients for necessary documents and information.
  • Meet clients to carry out ID checks and witness will signings.
  • Support with file archiving for different departments.
  • Handle incoming telephone calls, directing them to the appropriate person or department.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing post, including scanning, filing, and ensuring timely postage.
  • Welcome clients visiting the office in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Assist with banking tasks such as paying in cheques when needed.
  • Maintain meeting rooms by restocking supplies and ensuring tidiness.
  • Arrange collection of shredder bags and other office tasks.
