Job Opportunity: Legal Assistant at Top 200 Law Firm

Location: Guildford

Salary: £21,000 - £23,000

Join a prestigious Top 200 Law Firm as a Legal Assistant in their Commercial Property department. This role offers the chance to provide essential administrative and secretarial support, with opportunities for career progression and increased responsibilities.

Core Duties:
  1. Manage files including opening, closing, storage, and retrieval in line with firm procedures.
  2. Prepare pre-completion bundles for client transactions.
  3. Assist in preparing and collating contract packs.
  4. Handle stamp duty land tax returns, and draft and submit Land Registry and Companies House applications.
  5. Support post-completion matters, including transcription and dealing with correspondence.
  6. Manage exchange, pre- and post-completion documentation, paperwork, and registrations.
  7. Draft letters, documents, and forms for review by lawyers.
  8. Print contracts and correspondence related to property transactions.
  9. Scan signed contracts and relevant documents.
  10. Ensure all communications and notes are professionally formatted and accurate.
  11. Prepare correspondence and documents for dispatch, adhering to policies using digital dictation and practice management systems.
  12. Assist clients with case updates and progress.
  13. Generate and send client invoices.
  14. Support fee earners with billing and credit control, including producing financial reports and invoices.
