BDO Regulatory Solutions, part of the BDO UK LLP Financial Services Advisory Practice, focuses on transforming operational performance through specialist resourcing, programme management, and regulatory interpretation.

The role involves ensuring BDORS has a robust governance framework, overseeing legal aspects including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating client contracts, and managing compliance audits. You will horizon scan for regulatory developments and lead a team to manage legal affairs, compliance, and industry updates, supporting strategic decision-making and fostering a culture of compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and report on compliance with internal policies.
  • Manage client onboarding and conflicts processes.
  • Conduct internal compliance audits.
  • Coordinate data protection issues and subject access requests.
  • Lead audit engagements, develop audit plans, and review findings.
  • Mentor team members and support business development.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory issues affecting the business.
  • Maintain client reporting and accreditation processes.
Candidate Profile:
  • Proven experience in commercial contract negotiation, preferably in financial services, supported by a relevant qualification.
  • Strong understanding of data protection regulations.
  • Knowledge of corporate governance and structures.
  • Attention to detail, excellent writing skills, and the ability to explain technical information clearly.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks independently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and people skills, with experience in internal and external client interactions.
