Job description

  • Oversee Real Estate Deals: Manage leasing and asset management transactions, guide external solicitors, and keep track of progress.
  • Become the legal go-to: Be the first point of contact for legal matters at our Centres in the UK and Canada, ensuring the relevant stakeholders have the legal support they need.
  • Handle Contracts: Manage commercial contracts for goods and services, including facilities, marketing, and events, instruct external solicitors, and monitor contract progress.
  • Transaction Management and Reporting: Monitor the progress of transactions and reporting.
  • Support Property Projects: Assist with property enhancements and new builds, including construction contracts and planning.
  • Drive ESG Initiatives: Assist the implementation and where appropriate the management of the company’s ESG strategy where it impacts on the legal department and its remit across the business.
  • Debt Recovery: Manage and negotiate UK debt recovery and insolvency cases to maximise income recovery.
  • Governance and Risk: Assist with corporate governance and risk management, including anti-bribery, corruption, and data protection.
  • Take on Ad-Hoc Legal Tasks: Review legal queries, conduct research, and handle general legal matters.
  • Engage in Meetings: Participate in relevant departmental and inter-departmental meetings.
  • Prepare Reports: Assist in running reports and updating schedules, records, and trackers.
  • Deliver Training: Help prepare and deliver training sessions within the team and to the wider business.
