Job description

The Faculty of Arts, Business and Social Sciences is seeking to appoint to this permanent, full time position.

We are looking for an individual to manage and develop the Faculty’s Legal Advice Centre, including tutoring of students in the necessary skills for legal advice and supervising students’ advice giving. You will be required to engage with local practitioners, voluntary sector organisations and other relevant employers in the justice system to enhance mentoring opportunities and to lead and support students participating in legal skills competitions.

You will have a good honours degree in Law or a Common Professional Examination, or equivalent, an appropriate professional qualification as a Solicitor or Barrister and a current practising certificate. Recent work experience in legal practice is required.

You will also have appropriate teaching experience as you will also teach and lead modules on undergraduate and post graduate Law programmes.
