Overview

Our Legal 500 client is seeking a Legal Administrator to support their Conveyancing department with day-to-day secretarial and administrative tasks. They are looking for a professional and confident individual who can work efficiently under pressure, build strong client relationships, and adapt to changing priorities. The firm is happy to consider full-time or part-time/school-hours arrangements for the right candidate.

Duties
  • Support Conveyancers with sales, purchases, and re-mortgages, including ordering Land Registry documents, preparing contracts, conducting searches, requesting client/lender funds, assisting with completions, and preparing SDLT returns.
  • Schedule and manage Deeds, and maintain client files from opening to closure, including archiving and uploading documents to the case management system.
  • Handle client enquiries via phone or in-person, provide updates, and respond to correspondence.
  • Manage outgoing post and emails, liaise with Accounts as needed, and maintain accurate client contact details.
  • Perform general administrative duties, including photocopying, printing, and document organisation.
  • Support the team with secretarial tasks, telephone cover, and matter administration.
