The Role at a Glance:
  • Legal Accounts / Senior Finance Administrator
  • Location: Milton Keynes (On-site, not City centre)
  • Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 DOE

The Legal Cashier / Accounts Executive Overview:

Manage client accounts with precision—monitoring and allocating incoming funds accurately, ensuring the safe handling of client monies at all times.

Process high-value, time-sensitive payments promptly, flag issues to Fee Earners, and escalate unallocated funds to the Operations Manager.

Maintain client accounts by verifying billable items, reviewing completion statements, and recording all fees accurately.

Reconcile supplier disbursement invoices with the MIS, bill clients appropriately, and manage transactions in Xero. Monitor post-completion payments for financial accuracy.

Regularly review client balances to prevent excess fund retention and report business write-offs monthly to the Operations Manager.

About you:
  • Previous experience in a similar accounts role is essential
  • Experience in a similar organization is beneficial
  • Experience with large value payments
  • Ability to work independently with integrity
  • High standards of work and attention to detail
  • Effective task prioritization
  • Accuracy under time pressure
  • Xero experience preferred but not essential
  • Finance qualifications beneficial but not required
