About the role
We're looking for a Legacy Marketing Assistant to join our Legacy team. This varied role offers the chance to build a career in legacy or in-memory fundraising, supporter care, or administration. As Legacy Marketing Assistant, you'll support multi-channel campaigns and events while providing thoughtful and timely stewardship to some of our committed supporters. To thrive in this role, you'll be organised, empathetic, and confident working with sensitive information and correspondence.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing excellent supporter care when monitoring inboxes and answering enquiries, responding appropriately in a sensitive and timely manner
- Accurately and promptly set up new records and log all inbound and outbound correspondence
- Prepare and send welcome packs to new Tribute Fund (our in-memory product) supporters, taking into account supporter communication preferences
- Write and send tailored thank you letters to a range of audiences, including supporters, solicitors, and executors, to acknowledge donations received from a range of sources, including legacies and in-memory donations
- Deliver great stewardship to a range of supporters through the delivery of personalised communications, for example, sympathy cards for in-memory donations, running reports to flag up anniversary moments for special acknowledgmentt and monthly e-newsletters
- Support the team to deliver a range of virtual and face-to-face legacy events, including managing responses, responding to attendees, and event support on the day
- Assist the team in managing responses to legacy marketing activities such as Free Wills services and direct marketing campaigns
- Develop good working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including marketing agencies, service providers, and solicitors, as well as our finance, data, and income processing teams
- Undertake any other task relevant to the job purpose and ensure that all functions performed reflect the Association's mission and core values
- Excellent attention to detail and experience in data capture with high levels of accuracy
- Experience in database management and use of Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent written and oral communications skills; great listening skills, and ability to handle sensitive conversations
- Confidence in handling high volumes of bespoke and sensitive correspondence across a range of audiences
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop good working relationships with external suppliers/partners and internal departments, and communicate effectively at all levels
- Ability to manage workload effectively with exceptional time management to provide a high level of support care
