Job summary

Flint Bishop is seeking a Commercial Contracts and Data Protection Lawyer to join our Leeds team. The role offers exposure to a diverse workload and opportunities to influence strategic direction within a supportive environment.

You will work closely with senior lawyers to shape contract practices, ensure GDPR/data protection compliance, and contribute to business development while delivering exceptional client service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years PQE in a commercial law role.
• Exceptional client care skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Proactive management of matters with minimal supervision.
• Team player and able to get on with others.
• Networking and client development skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate or amend a wide range of commercial contracts in B2B or B2C contexts, including IT, procurement, sales channels and IP agreements.
• Ensure compliance with data protection laws (GDPR, etc.), including DPAs and privacy policies.
• Provide due diligence and transactional support to the corporate team.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks in commercial transactions and data protection matters.
• Help grow client relationships and contribute to business development.
