Job summary

Thorn Baker Group in Leeds seeks an experienced joiner to join a construction project on-site. The role requires strong practical joinery skills, reliability and the ability to deliver high workmanship.

You will work within a team to complete first and second fix joinery, install doors and architraves, and read technical drawings. Applicants should have a CSCS card, own tools and full PPE, and be able to work independently or with others.

• Previous joinery experience on construction sites.
• Good knowledge of general construction joinery.
• Valid CSCS card (site requirement).
• Own tools and full PPE supplied by the candidate.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking with attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and ability to follow instructions.
• Available to confirm a start date once project details are finalised.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general joinery work on site.

• Fit timber components and secure them properly.
• Make adjustments and perform finishing work as needed.

• Maintain a clean, tidy and organised work area.
• Follow all site health and safety procedures.

We are currently looking for an experienced and reliable Joiner for a construction project based in Leeds.

We are looking for someone with good practical joinery skills, a strong work ethic and the ability to complete work to a high standard.

JOB DETAILS

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carrying out general joinery work on site
• Completing first fix and second fix joinery as required
• Measuring, cutting and fitting timber and other materials accurately
• Installing doors, door frames, skirting boards and architraves
• Fitting and securing timber components
• Making adjustments and carrying out finishing work where required
• Reading and following site instructions and technical drawings where necessary
• Using hand tools and power tools safely and correctly
• Working alongside other trades to ensure the project runs smoothly
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised work area
• Following all site health and safety procedures

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience working as a Joiner
• Good knowledge of general construction joinery
• Valid CSCS card, where required by the site
• Own tools suitable for the work
• Full PPE
• Good attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
