Our School of Psychology, part of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Technology, is committed to providing high-quality, applied psychology education. Our diverse academic team includes experienced academics, practitioners, and industry professionals, all focused on preparing students with discipline knowledge and practical skills for real-world careers.

About the Opportunity:

We are looking for Lecturers in Psychology to join our team who support our distance learning courses. These roles will report to a Senior Lecturer in Psychology and play a key role in delivering engaging, innovative teaching while supporting students in their academic and career development.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

• Deliver engaging and dynamic lectures for our students.
• Lead and develop modules, ensuring high-quality learning materials and curriculum development.
• Oversee assessment marking, design authentic assessments, and provide high-quality feedback.
• Contribute to programme development, aligning courses with industry trends and employer needs.
• Provide academic guidance and support, enhancing student success and engagement.
• Drive innovation in teaching methods, student support, and assessment techniques.

About You

We are looking for a passionate and experienced psychology educator who has:

• An MSc or equivalent qualification in Psychology, with Graduate Basis for Chartership (GBC) recognised by the British Psychological Society (BPS).
• Experience in teaching, learning, and assessment practices in Higher Education.
• A track record of successfully contributing to programme teams and being an inspiring and creative lecturer.
• AdvanceHE Recognition (FHEA) or a willingness to achieve it within 12-18 months.
• Experience in Forensic Psychology and/or Biological or Neuroscience will be an advantage.
