About Newcastle Aviation Academy
Located just off the runway at Newcastle International Airport, Newcastle College Aviation Academy offers a unique, hands-on learning environment for aspiring aviation professionals. The Academy is housed in a 12,000m² aircraft hangar-winner of the Queen's Anniversary Prize-and is the only facility of its kind in the North East of England.
Students train on a fleet of real aircraft, including a Boeing 737, BAE Jetstream 31, Piper Aztec, and Jet Provosts, supported by cutting-edge facilities such as avionics labs, aerospace workshops, and cabin crew simulators. The Academy delivers industry-aligned education in aeronautical engineering, aviation operations, and cabin crew training, with strong ties to Newcastle International Airport and a proven track record of graduate employment.
