Job description

The post holder will be based in the UCL Social Research Institute. The Social Research Institute – formerly the Department of Social Science – in the UCL Institute of Education is one of the leading centres for social research in the UK.

The Thomas Coram Research Unit (TCRU) - part of the Social Research Institute - where the post holders will be based, has a long history and expertise in researching those children and families that are most vulnerable to economic and social adversity.

We are now seeking a Lecturer (Teaching) in Social Psychology to join a vibrant and collegial research environment who will be expected to contribute to TCRU’s research clusters.

You will be expected to contribute to the portfolio of teaching in Social Psychology across the undergraduate provision in SRI (i.e., BSc Social Sciences, BSc Social Sciences with Data Science, and BSc Sociology).

With A PhD in Social Psychology, or a related area of study you will also have evidence of scholarship in Social Psychology on topics relevant to TCRU’s research clusters, including research including work of international profile, with a strong record of peer-reviewed publications.

Your application form should address all the person specification points and should clearly demonstrate how your skills and experience meet each of the criteria.
