Lecturer - Trainer Assessor - Plumbing and Gas (fixed-term, part-time evening classes)

We are seeking a Lecturer/Trainer Assessor in Plumbing and Gas to join our Construction Team.

Position Details:

  • Part-time, temporary role with a salary of up to £11,170.22 per annum.
  • 9 hours per week, including 6 hours of teaching across 2 evenings.
  • Fixed term: Immediate start, contract until August 2025.

Job Purpose:

Assist in developing, organizing, and managing high-quality teaching and learning within the Construction/Electrical curriculum. Deliver flexible teaching, advising, and assessing to students on Work Based Learning programs, either in the workplace or on college premises.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hold a teaching or training qualification (e.g., Level 3 Award in Education & Training, PTLLS) or be willing to obtain one within 12 months.
  • Minimum Level 2 in English and Maths (GCSE A-C or equivalent).
  • Comprehensive understanding of Plumbing & Gas qualifications, supported by relevant industrial experience.
  • Experience in delivering underpinning knowledge and occupational skills to groups or individuals.
  • Proficiency in using ICT tools for training, assessment, student support, and progress tracking, including e-portfolios.
