We have an exciting opportunity for a temporary Lecturer to join our Supported Learning team at our Campus. You will join us on a part time basis (14 hours per week) and in return you will receive £27 per hour.

About the role:

The role involves leading teaching, learning, and assessment for students with severe, moderate, and specific learning needs, delivering lessons in small group settings. All students follow a core timetable with some personalized elements.

The successful candidate will lead one or two programmes and oversee instructors delivering these programmes, ensuring inclusive learning and progress against EHCP targets.

  • You must be a qualified teacher or FE lecturer with experience teaching students with SEN needs such as SLD, ASD, MLD, and SEMH barriers.
  • We seek creative, self-starting individuals who enjoy designing practical projects to help students explore their skills through practical themes.
  • You should be an excellent communicator, capable of collaborative work with staff, and have a clear vision for high-quality teaching, learning, assessment, and mentoring.

Experience in delivering and assessing accredited qualifications and non-accredited programmes (RARPA) is desirable.

Specialisms in creative industries, drama, media, and English are particularly welcome. Familiarity with Apple Mac computers and media/music software like Photoshop and ProLogic, and confidence in teaching English from Entry 3 to GCSE, are advantageous.

Qualifications include PGCE or DTLLS, DET, plus Level 2 in English and maths. Skills in Makaton and ASD qualifications are desirable.
