Hours/ work pattern: 1 FTE (Fixed term maternity cover until July 2026)

We are currently seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Lecturer in Sport & Public Services to join our team and drive the growth and development of our Sport & Public Services programmes. You may be asked to assist with the coordination and development of this area. We welcome interest from all individuals, from newly qualified teachers, experienced teachers to experienced industry specialists.
Position Overview:
As a lecturer in Sport and Public Services, you will be expected to assist with the effective planning and organisation of Sports and Public Services programmes and teach on a range of Sport and Public Services related courses with students of varying abilities teaching across a range of levels and awarding bodies, including L1, L2 and L3 courses as well as working with NCFE and BTEC. They should be willing to assist the Curriculum Manager with the curriculum development and the expansion and development of the department as well as the promotion of Sport and Public Services and other courses in the Service Industries curriculum areas and participate in marketing events as required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
The successful candidate will be qualified or working towards a teaching qualification. Have teaching or training experience in a relevant subject at L3 or degree Level, with a minimum of Level 2 literacy and numeracy.
The candidate would need to demonstrate their ability to articulate clearly and to be understood in a range of teaching situations. Be a team player with good communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues, students, parents and external bodies. They should also demonstrate efficient administration skills to support good student record-keeping. Have an energy and enthusiasm for working in a rapidly changing environment and the ability to demonstrate flexibility in working practices using a wide range of teaching aids, including ILT as applicable.
