This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding academic or practitioner to join a highly professional and motivated team to teach across our nursing programmes. The School of Nursing and Midwifery has a reputation for contemporary and innovative Nursing and Midwifery provision, including FdSc Nursing Associate, BSc (Hons) Nursing (Adult and Mental Health), and MSc Advanced Clinical Practice Apprenticeships. Our NMC approved programmes are nationally recognised for their high quality, student satisfaction, and high employability of alumni.
The focus of this post is on delivering our pre-registration portfolio, mainly on the FdSc Nursing Associate and BSc Nursing apprenticeship programs. The successful candidate will work within a dedicated academic team, responsible for delivering courses that meet the standards of the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IFATE) and the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
The post holder will teach a range of core subjects, promote academic enquiry, develop critical thinking, support safe, effective, and evidence-based practice, lead modules, assess students, and supervise projects. They should draw on their subject knowledge to design engaging sessions that integrate theory and practice, inspire apprentices, colleagues, and employers, and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality assurance processes for occupational apprenticeships through collaborative working practices from recruitment to apprenticeship award.
The Three Counties School of Nursing and Midwifery aims to inspire teaching and learning in an inclusive environment, equipping students and staff with skills, knowledge, and attitudes to positively impact health at individual, community, and population levels. The post offers opportunities for professional development aligned with the school's objectives.
