£36,047 – £40,548 per annum (Lecturer salary band)
£41,757 - £52,851 per annum (Senior Lecturer salary band)

About the Role:

We are seeking an outstanding individual to contribute to our CIMSPA-endorsed undergraduate and postgraduate sports coaching curriculum. At Hartpury University, we have a rich history of developing sports coaches at all levels, with coach development at the core of our Sports Department. Join our vibrant coaching team to help us enhance our offerings.

  • The successful candidate will contribute to our sports coaching curriculum, focusing on practitioner development at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • You will demonstrate a clear skill set and knowledge base centered on coach development.
  • You will aim to continuously improve the student experience, with a strong understanding of industry application and impact.
  • You will have a passion for coach development and practical coaching skills.

About You:
  • You will have a relevant postgraduate qualification and experience in the applied sports coaching industry.
  • You will possess a higher education teaching qualification or professional recognition (e.g., PGCHE, SFHEA/FHEA) or be committed to completing one within a year.
  • As a specialist in sports coaching and practitioner development, your applied experience will enable you to contribute to teaching across general sports modules and specialist applied modules from level 4 through postgraduate delivery.
  • You will be committed to providing a high-quality student experience, evidenced by excellence in teaching and learning, with active research and knowledge exchange welcomed.
  • You will appreciate the connection between theory and practice and be able to foster industry partnerships for student placements and projects.
  • You will demonstrate active scholarship and a willingness to develop professionally.
