Reporting into our Head of Computer Science, you\'ll play a key role in guiding students through core computing concepts and emerging technologies, providing an exceptional learning experience that\'s both academically rigorous and industry relevant. Responsibilities

As our Computer Science Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer, you will:

  • Deliver high quality teaching and support for learning, including communication with other academics for the continuous improvement of teaching and student support
  • Identify the need for developing the content, structure, assessment within modules with colleagues and make proposals on how this should be achieved
  • Contribute to effective design and review of inclusive learning. Maintain quality standards and regulations in curricular and assessment design
  • Routinely communicate complex and conceptual ideas to those with limited knowledge and understanding as well as to peers using high level skills
  • Act as a module tutor, academic coach and sign-post students on pastoral aspects during their learning journey

Requirements
Requirements for Lecturer positions
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a relevant subject
  • Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA) or equivalent or willingness to work towards*
  • Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards PGCHE*

* Please note that if you do not currently hold this, it is a requirement of the University that you will enrol into the programme (delivered and financially supported by the University), usually within 12 months of passing probation. Successful completion/ qualification is essential to this role.

Requirements for Senior Lecturer positions
  • Postgraduate qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject
  • Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA)
  • Relevant teaching qualification

For Senior Lecturers you will have developed significant expertise in: Application and practical delivery of a range of teaching techniques, pastoral care, mentoring colleagues, assessments and marking, team leadership.

Salary and Benefits
