Milton Keynes College are looking to appoint a knowledgeable and skilled Professional Construction Teacher.

As a Lecturer in Construction, you will have a strong background in the industry, with proven knowledge/experience in areas such as Design principles, Surveying Techniques, Planning and regulation, CAD/BIM Software.

Perhaps you have experience working as a Construction professional and would now love to develop into a teacher and share your knowledge - Who better to teach our students than those who have worked directly in the industry! Roles such as Architectural technologist, Surveyor, Construction project manager or Site engineer would all provide relevant and vital knowledge to bring to this teaching role.

Students studying for a career in the industry will benefit from your invaluable hands-on experience and gain the knowledge they need to enter the construction industry whilst learning in a safe and industry standard environment. As a successful Construction Teacher, you will truly inspire them and provide students with a positive learning experience. You will be supporting them with their learning, enabling them to achieve success through not only qualifications, but developing the confidence and softer skills that they can apply to employment.

We are keen to hear from candidates working within the Education and/or Construction sectors, who want to share their industry knowledge with bright and enthusiastic students. No formal teaching qualifications? Don’t let this put you off… If you are a passionate person with the capacity to become a great teacher we can provide the training to help you achieve your full potential, just as we expect you to be able to help our students achieve theirs.

Minimum requirement - you should hold a Level 4 or above in a relevant subject (e.g. construction, architecture, civil engineering)

The Innovation and Technology Centre houses the engineering, construction and apprenticeship programmes. It consists of sector leading resources and workshops that use real industrial equipment, modern technology and simulated environments to provide an exciting and engaging place to learn and teach. Recently undergoing a multimillion-pound renovation and extension, the ITC building acts as a skills hub for our local community.
