About the role

This is an outstanding opportunity to support the learning of students following Initial Teacher Education programmes in the Primary age-phase in the computing subject area. The role involves working closely with colleagues in delivering lectures, seminars, and tutorials. Additionally, the role will involve undertaking personal tutoring and supporting students via placement visits. The successful candidate will also contribute to the administration of and recruitment to the programmes.

The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the education, scholarship, and practice culture of the school and be encouraged to develop connections for these areas of activity in the faculty.

About the candidate:

We are seeking to attract applications from committed, enthusiastic, suitably qualified (holding QTS), and experienced individuals, with a background in Primary Computing and with experience across the Primary curriculum.

Candidates should have the knowledge and experience to be able to teach Computing and broader aspects of Primary education.

Candidates will have some understanding of initial teacher education – for example, working with student teachers, early career teachers, or working in a mentoring role.
