Qualifications

Salary: Up to £40,324 per annum, dependent on experience
Hours: 35 per week
Working Weeks: 52 per year
Contract Type: Fixed Term- Until June 2026
Site: Accrington and Rossendale College

The Exciting Role
A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a Painting & Decorating Lecturer to join our student-focused team on a fixed-term basis. This role will start in August 2025. We would particularly like candidates with experience of delivering on apprenticeships. Applications on a part-time basis will also be considered.

The successful candidate will be primarily based at Accrington & Rossendale College but may be required to travel across sites.


What You Will Be Doing:
For candidates with relevant experience, have specific responsibility for driving apprenticeships and employer engagement
Teach on other Painting & Decorating programmes as required (Entry level to Level 3)
Be up to date, plan and prepare high-quality teaching as required by your Line Manager
Develop and share resources for the subject including maintaining effective links across college for resources
Regularly assess students in order to track and monitor progress


What We Are Looking For:
4 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above
Minimum level 3 qualification in a related subject
Recognised teaching and assessor qualification or a willingness to achieve this within three years of appointment
A higher degree or advanced qualification
Assessor and Verifier Qualifications
