Central Sussex College seeks a qualified Lecturer-Multi Skills in Construction to join their Stockport Campus. You'll play a vital role in delivering education to students at Level 1 and 2, preparing them for careers in construction. The position involves developing and implementing teaching strategies, engaging learners, and a commitment to professional development.

Hours: 35 per week
Salary: £33,351.00-47,397.00 FTE
Pension contribution: 28.68% (£9,565.06 - £13,593.45 FTE)

The Trafford and Stockport College Group (TSCG) has an opportunity for an experienced Construction Multi Skills Lecturer to join the Construction Built Environment and Sustainability team to help us achieve our vision of unlocking potential and fostering success.
Primarily, you will work with students at Level 1 on full-time study programmes, and potentially with Level 2 Apprentices working towards the Apprenticeship Standard in Property Maintenance. You may also support the curriculum area in delivering specific trades.
You will provide young learners with a solid foundation to start their careers in construction and guide them into their chosen progression pathway.

This role requires delivering high-quality, learner-focused education, developing curricula, and implementing teaching strategies to ensure student success.
You should be an experienced tradesperson with a background in construction, qualified to an appropriate level (ideally Level 3 NVQ, but Level 2 NVQ will be considered), with a strong history in property maintenance or development. Experience working with young people and a qualification to Level 4 in Teaching and Learning (Cert Ed) are preferred, but NQT status will be considered.
You should be familiar with current safeguarding legislation, experienced with Learner Management Systems, and willing to undertake professional development. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and good communication skills are essential. You should be resilient, a team player, and proactive in facing challenges.
