Salary/Benefits: Salary is between £31,930 and £36,878 per annum (Pro-Rata) DOE and Qualifications, 45 days annual leave (Pro-Rata) plus Bank holidays,Teacher’s pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.

About the role:

We are currently seeking Lecturers in Maths to join our Maths and English department at The Bedford College Group.

As a Lecturer, you play an important role in the success of our students through:

  • Teaching & Curriculum Delivery – Prepare, deliver, and assess Maths across a range of levels and qualifications, ensuring lessons are engaging, inclusive, and meet awarding body standards.
  • Student Support & Progress – Provide individual and group tutorials, monitor progress, and guide students to achieve their potential through timely feedback and tailored support.
  • Curriculum Development & Quality – Contribute to curriculum innovation, develop new courses, and participate in quality assurance processes including course reviews and student feedback.
  • Professional Engagement & Promotion – Take part in marketing activities, open days, and student recruitment, while maintaining subject expertise and contributing to team collaboration.
  • Compliance & Safeguarding – Uphold statutory responsibilities in safeguarding, equality, and health and safety, and complete all administrative and training duties to required standards.

About you:

  • Qualifications & Experience – Holds a relevant degree or Level 5 qualification in Maths, with GCSEs in Maths and English (A–C), and recent experience teaching and assessing Maths at Level 2 and above.
  • Knowledge & Professionalism – Demonstrates current subject knowledge, understanding of equality and diversity, and a track record of high performance in diverse educational settings.
  • Skills & Attributes – Strong organisational, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the ability to meet deadlines, support learners, and contribute positively to team and college culture.
