About The Role

Are you looking to inspire future mathematicians? Becoming a lecturer at East Kent Colleges Group is a great way to utilise your skills and start an exciting new career! As a lecturer in Maths at Canterbury College, you will teach, train, and assess students in a variety of learning environments and styles, ensuring a high-quality learning experience.

Your Role Will Also Include

  • Preparing and delivering engaging lessons to inspire and educate learners.
  • Assessing students in both theory and practical work.
  • Providing support to learners to achieve their full potential.
  • Providing a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.

We support those new to teaching with ongoing training and coaching through our Teacher Academy, including digital skills support. If you do not have teaching experience or qualifications but have a passion for sharing knowledge, please apply.

  • Hours per week: 34
  • Salary: £33,182 up to £36,352

  • Monday 08:30-17:00
  • Tuesday 08:30-17:00
  • Wednesday 11:00-17:00
  • Thursday 08:30-17:00
  • Friday 08:30-16:00

We Are Looking For Someone Who Is

  • Highly organised and creative
  • Able to plan and teach engaging lessons
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Supportive of student development

Experience in teaching or workplace training is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. The candidate should have a positive outlook, empathy, and strong class management skills. Ability to teach a range of maths levels from Functional Skills to GCSE is required. The role may be offered as a job share if preferred.
