Job summary

University of Sheffield in Sheffield invites applications for a full-time academic post in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. The role involves developing and delivering teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate modules, supervising dissertations, and contributing to curriculum design within the OMDS group.

You will also engage in scholarship to influence student outcomes, and participate in outreach activities outside standard hours.

Qualifications

• PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
• Experience delivering logistics and supply chain management teaching in higher education.
• Teaching qualification e.g. FHEA, PGCert Higher Education or working towards.
• Experience collaborating with a team of staff within Higher Education.
• Proven ability to build strong external and internal partnerships.
• Creative problem solving and ability to develop new approaches.
• Experience working independently on project activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver logistics and supply chain management teaching across taught programmes.
• Enhance student experience and outcomes through evidence-based programme delivery.
• Act as a role model and uphold ethical standards for students.
• Undertake scholarly activities impacting student outcomes and national/international discourse.
• Engage in recruitment and outreach activities, including Open Days.
